Why a site about reverse mortgages

Because the good information is buried under two decades of bad advertising, and the people who most need to understand this product are the people least well served by the way it is sold.

Reverse mortgages are neither the scam their reputation suggests nor the miracle the daytime commercials promise. They are a specific financial instrument that fits a narrow set of circumstances very well and most other circumstances badly. The difference between those two outcomes is almost entirely a matter of whether someone explained the thing properly first.
